Archaeologist and Ph.D Geomatics

Archaeologist and Ph.D Geomatics (Topography and Cartography), Research Technologist at University of Turin. His research activity is about 3D documentation of archaeological and architectural heritage assets: specialized in 3D survey, 3D scanning; 3D modelling, HBIM solutions, CDEs, stratigraphic analysis and building archaeology. He is author of +25 scientific papers both in national and international reviews.

Research Technologist
 

Research Technologist at Università degli Studi di Torino, Historic Studies Department. Activities: 3D documentation and analysis of archaeological evidences related to cuneiform clay tablets, seals, sealings of Western Asia. WP9 "Taurus" member of ITSERR project.

Recent projects on which I have worked and collaborated.

Collaboration with Musei Reali of Turin for 3D scanning and post-processing analysis of cuneiform tablets and Ancient Near East archaeological artifacts.

WP9 "Taurus" member of ITSERR Resilience project. 3D documentation and analysis of archaeological evidences related to cuneiform clay tablets, seals, sealings of Western Asia.

Architectural requalification of the Frinco Castle (AT). Politecnico di Torino (DAD). Graphic design, 3D modelling and rendering, Stratigraphic analysis.

Collaboration with La Venaria Reale for the restoration project of the historic garden of the Royal Hunting Palace of Stupinigi. Graphic design, 3D modelling and rendering.

Collaboration with Parco Archeologico del Colosseo for the HBIM design and CDE publication of the Giacomo Boni Museum (Roman Forum, Italy).

Development of a modular open source HBIM web platform for Archaeology, through ad-hoc plugins. Designed by using open source instruments.

Collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome for the HBIM design of the Domus Regia (Roman Forum, Italy). Data exchange and publication on cloud solutions.

Management assistant and WP4 member for ERAMCA project. Digital library for the Master's degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Central Asia.

Ph.D project on historical interpretation and HBIM documentation (via open source solutions) of the refectory of Staffarda Abbey (CN, Italy).
